Everything Has a Place! An easy system to reduce clutter
Often cleaning and organization projects slow down when we’re dealing with too many odds and ends. You know where dirty laundry goes. Same with garbage and dirty dishes. What about the empty lanyard from your child’s field trip? Or the charger for the ring light you can’t find? Items (especially small ones!) that don’t have a “place” end up shoved in a drawer or stacked in the ever growing junk pile at the bottom of the stairs.
So what do you do? Grab some sandwich bags, empty plastic to-go containers, or grocery bags and start separating those items into categories:
Put all the cords and wires together.
Gather the miss matched school related swag in one spot
Stack completed non essential homework and paperwork
Once you have a few categories to work with, further separate those into: Keep/Donate/Trash.
Once a week or month, start the process over!
